How can I withdraw money to my nominated account?
Once you’ve logged in to MyAccounts:
- Select the account you want to withdraw from on the homepage and click ‘View account.’
- Select ‘Payments’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Choose ‘Withdraw funds.’
- Select your nominated account.
You can also request a withdrawal to your nominated account by phone, email, or in branch.

Can I withdraw money from my joint account?
Yes, but if your joint account requires both parties to sign (instead of just one), both of you will need to register for MyAccounts so that the withdrawal request made by one person can be approved by the other.
If your account needs more than two signatories, please contact your local branch to request a withdrawal.
What is a Nominated Bank Account?
A nominated account is a UK bank or building society account in your name, used for withdrawing money from your Swansea Building Society account.
It provides extra security by making sure withdrawals only go to a verified account.
Can I register more than one nominated bank account?
We only allow one nominated account for each savings account you have with us. This account must be a UK bank or building society account in your name.
How do I register or change my nominated account?
How long will it take for money to reach my nominated account?
Withdrawal requests received by 3:00pm on a business day (Monday to Friday except for bank holidays), will usually be processed the same day.
Requests received after 3:00pm will be processed on the next business day.
Can I withdraw money from a notice account?
Yes, you can request to withdraw money from a notice account you hold with us.
Please note that if you don’t give enough notice for the withdrawal, you may incur an interest penalty. For more details, please refer to the terms and conditions of your account.
Can I make a payment out of my account to a third party?
No, we do not allow withdrawals to third parties. Withdrawals can only be made to a nominated UK bank or building society account in your name.
