What bank details should I use to send money to my account?

You can pay into your account regularly via standing order or make a one-off electronic payment from a UK bank or building society account.

To get the details for sending funds to your account, log into MyAccounts:

  • Click ‘View Account’ for the account you want to pay into.
  • Click ‘Payments’.
  • Select ‘Add Funds’ and then click ‘Continue’.

Please note that when funding a new account, it may take up to an hour for other banks and building societies to recognise your account details.

What is Confirmation of Payee?

Confirmation of Payee (CoP) is a name-checking service that ensures electronic payments are sent to the correct personal or business account. It helps prevent accidental or misdirected payments and adds an extra layer of protection against fraud and scams.

The CoP function lets you check that the name on your Swansea Building Society account matches the sort code and account number when money is sent to your account from another bank or building society.

Please note that when funding a new account, it may take up to an hour for other banks and building societies to recognise your account details.
