The Society's mission statement is 'to maintain and enhance its reputation as an independent financial institution in Wales'

At 31 December 2009 Total Assets exceeded £182m with over 8,000 savers accounts and 1,100 mortgage customers.

The Society's principal objective is the provision of loans secured on residential property for the use of members particularly in the South Wales area. These loans are funded by personal savings deposited in a variety of investment accounts offered by the Society and supported at times by activity in the wholesale money market.

The Society is one of only three remaining mutual Building Societies in Wales and the only Building Society or Bank with its headquarters in West Wales.
